WIND IPP PROJECTS

Germinal owns and operates 11 wind farms with an aggregated capacity of 203.35 MW in the states of Gujarat and Tamil Nadu. All of our operational wind projects are risk free with zero/low debt supplying power to the state DISCOMs under long term power purchase agreements for 20/25 years. Majority of our installed capacity has been supplied by Vestas, the No.1 wind turbine manufacturer globally. An independent and dedicated internal team is committed to achieve global standards in executing and servicing BoP of the wind farm.

Germinal has an in-house qualified and experienced asset management team which is equipped with a full-fledged technical infrastructure to ensure optimum uptime and smooth operation of all its wind turbines. This ensures maximum generation through strict supervision to optimize generation and achieve higher PLF.

Germinal secured 50MW in the very first wind auction in Gujarat conducted by GUVNL in December 2017 which was successfully commissioned in January 2019

Germinal has won two more bids each having a capacity of 50.6 MW at SECI- tranche VI and GUVNL-tranche II auction rounds conducted in the months of February 2019 and May 2019 respectively. The wind project won at SECI-Tranche VI is scheduled to be commissioned by March 2021 while the one won at GUVNL-Tranche II to be commissioned by January 2021.
